Keep powering though! We're almost through Prism!
By the way, about the Prism Concert... The Prism Concert is a unique and exciting show—but it also involves moving around in the dark with instruments, so safety is a big deal. Because of that, it's super important that everyone is present for rehearsals.
If you miss more than one required rehearsal this week, you won’t be allowed to perform in the concert. If you miss just one, we’ll handle it on a case-by-case basis, but you may be asked to adjust your role or performance spot. Please communicate in advance if something comes up—we want to work with you, but we also have to keep everyone safe and the show running smoothly.
You need to be here for your team!
Another note-- EVERYONE NEEDS TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR KRISPY KREME FUNDRAISER! Aside from some necessary repairs, we also desperately need the funds to be able to have a Band Banquet and to support us as we transition into the end of the year and the new school year. You can use the below ad to share on social media and wherever. Remember-- everyone's goal is to sell 10 boxes!
Weekly Walkthrough
Monday, we have a Prism Concert Dress Rehearsal from 3pm to 6pm. This rehearsal will be in the Cafetorium. It is for all band members.
Tuesday, we have a Prism Concert Dress Rehearsal from 3pm to 6pm. This rehearsal will be in the Cafetorium. It is for all band members.
Wednesday, we have a Prism Concert Dress Rehearsal from 3pm to 6pm. This rehearsal will be in the Cafetorium. It is for all band members.
Thursday, we have the BCHS Prism Concert! Call Time is 4:00pm. Concert begins at 7pm. At call time, we will run any necessary sound checks and adjustments.
Friday, there are no events scheduled.
Saturday, Jazz Band has the JU Jazz Festival. The itinerary can be found HERE. There also are some students/ groups that plan to perform this day at the Band Booster's Craft and Market at Heritage Park at Macclenny. You should plan to arrive at 10am. Performances times will vary.
Sunday, Jazz Band performs at First Assembly God. Call Time at the Church will be 9am. There will be no transportation provided, please plan accordingly.

Scholarships! Please Read!
Each year the Baker County Band Boosters offer a Senior Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 and a Summer Music Camp Scholarship in the amount of $150.00. Those applications are now available. If you have any questions about either scholarship, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Application deadline is April 1, 2025.
Commitment Night!
Band Commitment Night is on April 18th, 2025! All students (and their parent[s]/ guardian[s]) who intend to be a part of the High School Band for the 2025-26 School Year need to be in attendance!

Professional Staff Change
Mr. Forrest Elledge has informed me of his decision to step down from his role as Front Ensemble Director. I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the dedication, passion, and hard work he has poured into our percussion program. His contributions have played a significant role in the growth and success of our section, and we are truly thankful for the impact he has made.
Looking ahead, I’m pleased to share that Mrs. CeCe Snyder will be stepping into the role of Percussion Director, in addition to continuing her work as Visual Director. We’re excited for the leadership and vision she brings to both areas as we move forward.
