This is your weekly MUSIC DEPARTMENT update!
Hello Folks!
In TWO SHORT DAYS you have closed the gap and we've made a little over $2000 on our Dominos fundraiser! That's pretty crazy progress in a short amount of time! Thank you for responding to the fundraiser in this way. We have just about broken even on MPA and clinician expenses. That is a blessing!!
Also, HUGE Shout- Out to Jacob Luke for going CRAZY on sales this week! Dude swung 37 sales this week alone, becoming the top seller for the entire fundraiser!
That also means we crossed the threshold for the $50 Amazon gift card this week!! Congratulations to Jacob Luke for winning a $50 Amazon Gift Card!

Weekly Walkthrough
Monday, there are no after school activities, but the band room closes at 3:30pm so Mr. Oyster and I can go to the FBA District 4 Meeting this evening. MONEY FOR THE DOMINOS FUNDRAISER IS DUE TODAY.
Tuesday, we have an NFHB Rehearsal. Call Time is directly after school; bus leaves at 3pm. Bring Money for Wendy's!!! We'll probably be back home around 9:15pm.
Wednesday, there are no after school activities scheduled. The band room will be closed immediately after school because Mr. Moore has to go do medical/ doctor/ health stuff.
Thursday, we have an NFHB Rehearsal. Call Time is 10:30am in the Band Room; bus leaves at 11am. Bring Money for Wendy's!!! We'll probably be back home around 6:00pm.
Friday, we have NFHB. NFHB participants will come directly to the band room at the start of school. We will bus over to UCHS in the morning, but there will be NO BUS to take anyone back after the concert. Make sure that your family comes to support you (and also take you home!) You need to make sure you have everything you need to the concert that evening including your Concert Attire. Is there an NFHB student's parent who would be willing to chaperone? We only need one!
Saturday, we have Concert Band Camp! Don't miss! (But if you have to for whatever VALID reason, do not wait until the last minute to communicate). This will be a good day with some good food too! More details can be found under "Things to Note" below. Call Time for percussion is 9am, and for everyone else is 10am.

Things to Note 🎵:
Concert Band Camp
Both Concert Bands— there will be a Saturday rehearsal on February 1st from 10am to 3pm (with an hour lunch break) called Concert Band Camp. I’ll be working to have several clinicians to run sectionals with one band while another band is in full rehearsal with a clinician in the morning, and then ensembles switch after lunch. More details to come!

Solo and Ensemble
This year, if you'd like to take your Solo or Ensemble to MPA, it will cost $10 per student. For example, if Johnny is taking a Solo and an Ensemble, he owes $10 for the Solo and $10 for the Ensemble, so he needs to pay $20 in total. Solo and Ensemble money is due by THURSDAY, 1/23. This will also tell me who's going to S/E MPA and who's not.
Wind Ensemble to University of Florida- UPDATE

Scholarships! Please Read!
Each year the Baker County Band Boosters offer a Senior Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 and a Summer Music Camp Scholarship in the amount of $150.00. Those applications are now available. If you have any questions about either scholarship, please don't hesitate to reach out. Application deadline is April 1, 2025.
